Final Foam and Door Seal

Finished up the foam on the interior. I added a 2" wood and weather stripping seal in between the two doors, there was too much sound escaping.
This has helped make it a little more quiet...
Awesome...

Garage

Still able to fit one car...
Room for washer and dryer...
...and room for my Madone!

Setup

Ah, finally it's time to test the room...
I'm still awaiting the foam to complete the ceiling...
Neil Peart tapestry was given to me when I purchased my first drum set at L&J Music in Anchorage, Alaska in 1985...

Track Lights, More Foam, and Area Rug

I'm so happy with the track lighting (and dimmer switch) that I installed, it really works great for the room...
As I was cleaning my drums for set up I realized that the bass drum, high-hat, and pedals all have sharp spikes on the bottom to keep them from sliding. This would tear right through the exercise pads so I quickly ran out and purchased a $20 black area rug...

Doors

Carpet glued on the front of door #1...
I soon realized that the door knob stuck out too far for my two door design...

...I then switched out the knob for a deadbolt with a handle. I keep the door unlocked, it closes very tightly by design.
The second door (interior) has a handle on both sides.
I may need to reinforce the seal between both doors. I was unable to create the surround wood seam as per the dawbox plans due to the limited width between the two doors. I did use the weather stripping but after I perform the sound test it may need some more work...
I may also glue carpet on the interior of both doors if necessary...

Interior Foam

With corner bass traps...

Ceiling Interior

After deciding to use the remaining scraps to complete the ceiling I quickly realized that there were no 2x4's to attach many of the pieces to! Ooooops!
That's ok, the carpet will surely cover up this minor problem...
I decided that the carpet just looked horrible on the ceiling so I have ordered some more foam (www.thefoamfactory.com) to complete the ceiling.

Flood!!!

It wouldn't be right without some problems...
About an inch deep of water...I soon realized that Cyndee has started the washing machine earlier. I must have knocked the drain hose out of the wall as I was climbing on top of the drum room the day before.
I quickly reinserted the drain hose back in the hole...

Interior Wall

I was planning on using tempered hardboard for the interior walls but I had so much left over MFD and OSB I thought I would just use it up. I decided to utilize the MDF on the front and right wall since these both face the house and the OSB for the other two walls.
Even though OSB snd MDF are a different thickness I was able to get it close enough followed by a thick layer of silicone in all the seams and the sound deadening foam.
